Megan L. Mittelstadt is the Director of Training and Education for the Landry Cancer Biology Consortium (LCBC) and a Lecturer in the Department of Genetics at Harvard Medical School. Meg is involved in curriculum development and creation of an integrated community for the LCBC. She organizes, directs, and evaluates co-curricular and programmatic events affiliated with the LCBC. She also manages and designs innovative curriculum for a variety of graduate courses in cancer biology at Harvard Medical School.
Meg is interested in pedagogy that is based in the formation of learning communities and approaches education as a collaborative and interactive practice where students are equal partners in the learning experience. Her background is in epigenetics and molecular biology; she has conducted research on gene-environment interactions and mechanisms that control gene expression.
